The Radio Councillors continued to build their on-air confidence with a Christmas show. Listeners were encouraged to message in what they hoped to get for Christmas.

Alfie and Archie did a brilliant job broadcasting live today. They were the first hosts ever to take audience responses to a daily question: which is better, Netflix or YouTube? We used a live Google Doc to allow children to send in comments. Radio Council made sure that the computer and speaker were safe.  

Wednesday 2nd November 2022

Lucy and Victoria hosted Radio Drake's first 'Live at Lunch' broadcast today! Up to now, we have used our radio station to record our content as a podcast and then play it out later. Today we went fully live: what was being said in the studio was being heard on the radio in real time. Our new speaker was put outside at lunchtime so that children could listen while they played. Lucy and Victoria bravely volunteered to be the first hosts. They did brilliantly, conducting quizzes, reading out fun facts and announcing the music!
